Selecting Library Books

Choose books about real life happenings (NO talking animals, magic, fairy tales, etc.)

The books need to have attractive illustrations.

Choose story books, biographies, and books about nature. Fiction stories about children and their daily activities, trips to the zoo, the beach or the woods are of the most loved.

Choose 6-8 books with only pictures and no words for the youngest children.

Choose some books that have 1-12 sentences per page.

Choose some books that have 12-15 sentences per page.

The library now prints a list of the books you check out. Please write your name on the list and leave it in the office with the books so that we can be sure to collect all of the books you brought us when it is time for their return.
